Last Day at the Beach

While Nathan and I were in Michigan last week, we took advantage of the great weather and went to the beach with Trisha and Mom.

Elise is busy shaping the minds of our future, so she couldn't join us in the important things....like going to the beach.

Happy Birthday Uncle Randy

We visited Randy at work to bring him a birthday cookie.

Slumber Party with Cousins

This past weekend we had our family over. 3 kids makes for a great party!

Leaf Heat Shield

Dad is demonstrating the usefulness of a leaf heat shield when roasting a marshmallow.

No Picture

How do I capture on camera how terrible my aim is with a rock? Today I went to check my trap (and inside was a teeny tiny baby possum.....but that is not the story so don't get me sidetracked.)

Anyway, as I was checking the trap, I saw a squirrel eating my butternut squashes. As soon as the squirrel saw me coming, he ran out of the garden and sat on the top of my back fence, just taunting me. Not one to turn down the opportunity for a good fight, I picked up the nearest rock and hurled it as hard as I could. The rock went flying over the fence and hit my neighbor's garage, just inches from a window. And would you believe that the squirrel just sat there and smiled?

Forget trapping, I need a gun. (although I haven't checked recently, I think my aim with a gun is better than with rocks).

A boy after my own heart

Nathan is showing promising signs of loving chocolate as much as I do.

But I want MORE!

Can't stop catching coons

Yesterday Nathan and I were on a walk and some guy gave us a picture of his missing cat. Said that there was a reward for anyone who "found" this cat. I didn't dare ask what his cat's favorite food was, but just assumed that tuna might be in the top 10.

I should call that guy and see if he wants a racoon to replace his cat. Given the size of this coon, maybe his cat is inside.

Workin' in the Rain

This past weekend we got some projects done around the house with Dad and Mom.

Stinkers Bay

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Lake Koshkonong and stayed in a double wide trailer on Stinkers Bay with our white trash friends, Hank and Peggy. (Truth really is stranger than fiction). We used "reverse psychology" to get Peter (aka. Hank) to prove he knew all of Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bengals. Too easy....

Our little stinker played in this nifty playpen so that he wasn't on the wet and stinky floors.

The Indy Children's Museum with Kelle and Jack

Kelle and Jack enjoying the dizzy, fake horse. We're now members of the museum too, BTW. It's okay if you're not. We still like you.

Chillin' at the sprinkler park with our friend Jack.

You're shipping me where?

Colts Craziness

Do you have to be crazy to walk around looking like this? I would argue yes. Isn't there some public law about not walking around in just your underwear?
