Not much

Waiting for a baby to arrive involves doing a lot of "not much"....things like mowing the lawn and all other normal chores that really aren't all that exciting. (although I have to admit that Nathan thought mowing the lawn was entertaining)

Jon and Janna took us to a Indians baseball game last night and we had great seats! We were in the front row right by the bull pen and the catcher came over to give Nathan his first baseball. Then the rest of the night we had to try to keep Nathan from throwing it back out into the field!

The boy who wouldn't nap

Nathan recently discovered that we can't make him nap and that he can just play and jump around in bed. Of course, by dinner he isn't feeling so alert.

Camping with the whole gang

We were gone for about 10 days recently to hang out with Joel's family and then go camping with mine. This picture includes just a few of my extended family who all got together for dinner one night to celebrate Trisha and Kurt's and Jill and Brandon's engagements and upcoming weddings.

Nathan LOVES camping because it includes a lot of his favorite things: running around outside, staying up late and not having to sleep much, eating fun camping food, and playing with the kids. Here's Gram and Aidan and Kerrie hanging out with Nathan by the fire.

Beach Time

We spent a lot of time hanging out at the beach.

He and Aidan had head butting competitions. Turns out they both have big heads that are quite hard apparently.

Nathan discovered that he likes to eat sand and that we can't stop him from doing it.

Nathan: the winner of this year's sand-eating competition. (and probably the grape-eating competition too if we had one).
