We went to the Indiana State Fair. Here are a few of the highlights.

Here's Nathan's first ride at the fair. This thing really whipped you around. He was very brave.

Here's Nathan getting head lice and pretending to be a hard hat type person.

Leelanau Family Vacation

Q: What do you do when you are on a sailboat and all of the sudden the wind totally quits?
A: Not much.

Joel ripping it up.

Daniel continues to be a little daredevil and liked to jump into the lake face first. Crazy kid.

Daddy and Nathan paddling Little Traverse Lake.

The big snapper that was right under us.

Here's the hike between the house and the lake. You had to make sure to bring enough water for the journey.

Pretty sweet lake for the kids...calf deep about 50 feet from shore.

Picnic on the beach where we broke tons of rules. It was great.

Shopping excursion with the girls. The kids had to stay home and keep the guys out of trouble.
Daniel: our little floater.

Chillin' with cousin, Addison. It was a tame ride in comparison to Nathan's usual riding partner who smacks him and pulls his hair. The one conversation I overheard went like this:
Nathan: "You say "NO"
Addy: "I say "Yes"
(repeat that about 20x and you get it)

Another beautiful sunset for Mom at Lake Michigan.

Overlook from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The lake is 450 feet below.

Kurt and Randy dammed up North Bar Lake. It didn't make CNN, but it was a pretty big accomplishment.

The partygoers. (except for the man taking the picture who also happened to foot the bill. Thanks, Dad!)

Worn Out

Vacationing is hard work! And if you didn't notice the obvious, it is also hard work fitting all our crap into our little car! We also had bikes on the back and the windsurfer on the roof.
