August Photos

Just got back some photos from our great photographer, Angela Lurton.  She herself has 4 boys so she is the perfect person with enough patience and silliness to endure an hour photo shoot with these boys!
 I highly recommend her:  http://timestotreasurephotography.com/

Daniel's First day of Preschool

Daniel was all smiles this year when it was time to start school.  Gone are the days of crying and peeling him off of my legs.  Some things I really don't miss!

Now the person crying is Peter when he has to leave Daniel at school with all of the fun toys and play at home alone.

Since Nathan gets out of school at 11am, we have lots of time to play at parks.

Fall Beach Days

This week has been beautiful at the beach even though it feels like fall.

One thing that makes it feel like fall is that we're the only people there!

Happy Birthday, Peter!!

The birthday boy turned 2 years old on Saturday, September 8!  If you ask him how old he is, he now answers, "Four" or "Three".  But just look at that face.....we're pretty certain that he knows he is two and is trying to tease.

We celebrated in the morning by going to a tractor show.  It was a big hit!

Nathan competing in the tractor pedal pull.  He made a "full pull" on his first round and ended up 3rd place out of about 40 kids.  He was so disappointed with
 "the small trophy".

Mr. Yellow Pants was more interested in joy riding than any trophy.
He was thrilled with his participation ribbon!

And then there is this one .....

CHEESE!  Ready to eat birthday dinner with all of his grandparents.

Really?  Only 2?

Presents

Loving all eyes on him during the Happy Birthday song.

It only took about 20 blows to get that candle out.

Whoo hoo!!!

There's always something in his hands...usually a truck.

A new morning routine

We used to roll out of bed at 7:55 and watch Curious George in the mornings.
Now we get up early, do a job, eat eggs and more eggs, and Joel leaves with Nathan by 7:30.
And we are still smiling!

First day of school

Nathan has been waiting for this day, September 4, for a long time!
Most days, it seems like not much really happens and that time can drag on.  But today, it seemed like time has gone really quickly!

He was so proud of how grown up he is now!

Joel and the boys were all there to cheer him on.

Nathan already sick of the first day of school because it involved too many pictures!

Finally, on his own!
