True Hoosiers

We're all about the Indy 500 this year. Nathan and Daniel had no idea that something this cool existed in the world until this past week when we dutifully educated them. It was so much fun to watch their responses to the "ya-oud" cars.

Yes, Joel went to work sporting that facial hair.

Even the earplugs were fun!

A deep conversation with the added element of earplugs.

Mother's University Graduation

The boys and I volunteered one day a week since last September with a program called Mother's University. Yesterday was graduation day for the 6 ladies who completed the program.

The most lively and memorable boy of the year is above, Cameron. It was really cool to see his personality change (for the better!) over the 16 week program. As you might guess from his smile, Cameron has the charisma to do amazing things in the future if he heads in the right direction.

Nathan is helping Ms. Ann (in the blue shirt) lead the singing.

The four directors of MU (on the left) and the 6 graduates (on the right). We'll miss volunteering next year because it really was a great experience! However, I don't think I would be very helpful with 2 boys and a newborn next fall.

They are having quiet time together here. This is after Nathan got bored and went into Daniel's room to wake up his playmate. It is all fun and books until Daniel usually ends the fun by biting Nathan.

Daniel gets ice cream for using the toilet and Nathan gets ice cream for being the "encourager". It turns out that Nathan is much more motivated by the promise of ice cream, which creates humorous situations and conversations between the two.
