Family

A couple of weeks ago we visited family and got the classic pictures with grandparents and cousins. The newest addition to the family is Josie, Joel's niece. She's only 6 days old in the above picture.

Bike Trip

We left the kids with their grandparents to OD on sugar while we went on a bike trip with our friends, Taylor and Wendy.

Before the 105 mile trip.

Somewhere in the middle (South Haven, MI) and still able to slap on a smile.

New life skills

Nathan is learning a couple new skills: praying and using the potty. Both have been somewhat difficult to learn. These came together in a surprising way the other day when he prayed before dinner: "Dear God, please help my poop to come out in the toilet." God answered that prayer twice this week.

Daniel can't quite figure out Nathan's choice of location.

Not to be outdone by Traverse City, we recently celebrated our own cherry festival. This was closely followed by the get-out-the-hose festival.

Gram and the backhoe boys

Recently (we're a little behind on blogging), Nathan and Daniel got to drive some really BIG things. Nathan has been wanting to ride in a backhoe for a very long time and Uncle Harvey just happened to have one.

AND he got to ride in a big dumptruck full of dirt! What could be better than a truck full of dirt?! (actual quote from our Curious George book)
Not only that...he got to ride in a huge tractor too. The stuff memories are made of...

.
Here's us (or some of us) in the Otsego parade. We're just about to gently toss some delicious treats to the masses.
